Needlesprout – Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with Needlesprout (“we”, “us”, “our”), you (“the client”, “you”) agree to the following terms and conditions.


1. Services Provided

  • We offer digital sewing pattern resizing, grading, and digitisation services for both individual sewists and business clients.

  • Services include:

    • Resizing PDF sewing patterns to individual measurements.

    • Grading patterns for multiple sizes (for businesses and designers).

    • Digitising and resizing vintage or paper patterns.

    • Optional printing and posting of resized patterns.


2. Pattern Ownership & Confidentiality

  • You retain full ownership of your original pattern(s) and design(s).

  • We act only as a technical service to alter sizing or grading.

  • Your patterns and measurements will never be shared, sold, or reused for any purpose other than fulfilling your order.

  • Digital files will be securely deleted from our system within 30 days of order completion.


3. Client Responsibility

  • You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the measurements, size requests, and any information you provide.

  • We do not alter or redesign patterns, only resize or grade them based on your instructions.

  • We strongly recommend creating a test garment (toile) before using resized patterns on final fabrics.


4. Order Process & Delivery

  • Orders are submitted via our online form or by post (for paper patterns).

  • Digital pattern alterations are delivered in PDF format by email.

  • Printed patterns are posted using the delivery option selected at checkout.

  • Standard turnaround is 3-5 working days for digital PDF resizing. Complex or paper pattern orders may take longer.


5. Fees & Payment

  • Pricing is based on the number of pattern pieces (for PDF resizing) or agreed quotation (for paper patterns and business grading).

  • Full payment is required at the time of order.

  • Prices are listed in euros (€) and may be subject to change.


6. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Due to the nature of digital services, once work has begun, orders are non-refundable.

  • If you cancel before work starts, a full refund will be issued.

  • If an error is made on our part, we will correct it at no extra cost.


7. Business Clients

  • Business clients requesting multi-size grading or collection services will be provided with a quotation prior to work starting.

  • By approving the quotation, you confirm agreement to these Terms & Conditions.

  • Business clients are responsible for ensuring their patterns are production-ready.


8. Shipping (Printed Patterns & Paper Patterns)

  • Shipping fees are added at checkout and vary by destination.

  • We are not responsible for postal delays, damage, or loss once items are shipped.

  • Clients posting paper patterns to us are advised to use a tracked delivery service.


9. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for any issues arising from sewing with resized patterns, including fit, style, or construction errors.

  • Our responsibility is limited to resizing/grading the pattern according to your instructions.

  • Maximum liability is limited to the value of the order placed.


10. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.

  • Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
